Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Requires one to three months orientation to acquire necessary familiarity with department and unit policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
Must possess analytical ability to synthesize knowledge of nursing theory and practice, assessment and planning activities, technical expertise, and delegation skills to provide effective nursing care for assigned patients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Exceptional multitasking and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with patients and families, to elicit cooperation and allay apprehensions.
Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Alabama.
BLS required at hiring.
One year's experience as a professional Registered Nurse preferred.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Full-time position working 7am - 7pm.
RN performs functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients on unit during shift.
RN is responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
RN is responsible for promotion of collaboration with all members of the health care team.
RN Care Team Leader develops work plan and provides clear directions and expectations for care partner.
